Significant Events in the history of the Company
2010
(February) The All Seasons Company with offices in Dallas and Houston (TX) merges with Schraad & Associates. As a result the Schraad & Associates Texas-GEO Business Unit is formed. Schraad & Associates now operates fully staffed offices in San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas and is the largest Independent Broker in the combined Texas marketing area in addition to being the largest Independent Broker in the combined AWG marketing area.
2007
(July) The Monroe Company Headquartered in San Antonio (TX) merges with Schraad & Associates. As a result the Schraad & Associates HEB Business Unit is formed. Monroe is the oldest and largest independent broker servicing the South Texas marketing area and all Monroe associates are retained in the merger.
2007
(April) B&B Sales headquartered in Nashville (TN) merges with Schraad & Associates. B&B Sales is a leader in the Produce industry and co-owned by David Brown and Earl Bass. This business is now operated under the Nashville branch of Schraad's Mid-South Division.
2006
Schraad & Associates expands into the Arkansas marketing area and opens a "Little Rock" branch office. This office is operated under the Schraad & Associates Mid-South Division.
2004
Schraad's Tulsa office is merged into Oklahoma City office after all Tulsa wholesalers in the market exit the business.
2003
Schraad & Associates Mid-South Division is formed. This Division is Headquartered in Memphis, TN and services the Memphis and Nashville marketing areas. This action coincides with AWG's purchase of Fleming's Goodlettsville, Southaven, and Memphis GMD supply centers and maintains Schraad's seamless customer team alignment for AWG.
2001
Schraad & Associates expands into Kansas and Missouri and forms the Midwest Division. This Division is Headquartered in Overland Park, KS and services the Kansas City, Springfield (MO), and Wichita marketing areas. This is the first expansion outside of Oklahoma and through this action a seamless customer team is created for the AWG business.
2000
Bill Schraad, Jr is named President/CEO and Bill Schraad Sr. continues as Chairman and Oklahoma Division Manager.
1993
A Tulsa office is opened to service the Headquarter needs of the Wholesalers in the area.
1992
The McManus Company merges with Schraad & Associates. The McManus staff lead by Frank Kelly moves into Schraad's offices on North Santa Fe Ave.
1988
Schraad & Associates establishes a Produce Division.
1983
Schraad & Associates purchases Hosier Brokerage and forms a confection department.
1974
Schraad & Associates exits the food service business to focus exclusively on the retail class of trade.
1967
Bill Schraad, Sr, wife Ethel, and 5 children moved to Oklahoma and founded Schraad & Associates. Bill began his career in the Minneapolis/St Paul area and had a background in both the grocery retail and food service classes of trade as a sales manager for a food processor.
